March 2020 Bullet Journal Set-Up

It’s time to start planning for March! I always use green for this month- I don’t know why it just feels weird not to;)) My March theme is jungle leaves, and it looks amazing! I used four different colours of green, and my white gel pen. These doodles were super easy to do, and I’ll be posting a tutorial, along with my February Monthly Recap, on my Instagram page. Hope you like it!

This is my title page. I drew a frame of different leaves around the word “March”. I was going to outline the leaves in black, but I thought that would be too dark. Plus, I drew some leaves that I couldn’t really outline, so I decided to go over top of the leaves with my white gel pen, and I love the look of it! On the opposite page I wrote a quote about adventure, because I feel like you go on adventures in jungles.

Next I have my calendar:)) There are some more leaves growing out of it, plus another quote and a space for goals and a monthly focus.

I really liked the habit tracker set up last month, because it made it easier for me to see which days I completed which habits. I’m trying something new with my mood tracker though. It’s a graph style, which I like because it gives me lots of moods to choose from. I also incorporated a sleep, productivity and water intake tracker into the graph, which I’m excited to use!

Here’s my gratitude log and blog ideas spread. I love the leaves coming from the sides of the pages! I used paper to do a quote at the bottom.

Finally, this is my first weekly spread of the month. It took me a while to draw all of those leaves, but I think it was worth it!

That’s my set-up for March! I’m super excited for this month. See you Friday;))

4 Weekly Bullet Journal Spreads

Hi guys! During my two years of bullet journaling, I’ve tried out many different weekly spreads. Some of them work really well for me, and others don’t. It’s a good idea to experiment with a bunch of different ones so that you find the layouts that help you to be the most productive. Today I decided to share 4 of my favourite weekly spreads that bring organization into my life, and look pretty too;))

I like layouts that give me a lot of space, and this one certainly does that. I had plenty of room to plan out my week, and was still able to include a quote at the bottom.

This layout is probably my favourite, and I’ve used it almost every month since I discovered it. It gives you lots of space to write down daily tasks, and room along the sides to include quotes, to-do lists, or anything else your heart desires. This layout is also really simple to draw and is easily customizable, working well with many different themes.

This one is an oldie but a goodie! I love the incorporation of the theme in this layout, and the amount of space it gives;)

This layout doesn’t give a ton of room, but I like how much space there is at the bottom to include productivity trackers and quotes.

So those are my favourite spreads! I hope you try them out and see if they work for you;))

December Bullet Journal Set Up with November Monthly Recap

Hey guys! I apologize for the late post… this week was a little crazy for me😂😂 However, I’m really happy with the way that my December spreads turned out. I’m coming to the end of my journal, which by the way is the first notebook that I’ve ever filled up completely! This month I went with some classic Christmas designs like evergreen boughs and mistletoe, and tried to keep it simple since I feel like my last few spreads have been a bit busy. Green is the main colour that I used, but there are also some red accents thrown in. Creating my December spread really got me excited for the holiday season! This year I decided to include the advent calendar that I make each year in my bullet journal, and I love the way it turned out. Hope you like it!

My monthly recaps haven’t really changed throughout the whole year. I didn’t use a ton of scrapbook paper in this one to keep it a bit simpler.

This is my December title page!! I alternated drawings of evergreen boughs, mistletoe and bare tree branches. I used my black brush pen to write the month to keep things simple and classic looking. On the opposite page my quote is “It’s the most wonderful time of the year”, because I love the joy that Christmas time brings.

Here’s my calendar spread for December;) It’s pretty simple but I did add a space to blog plan along with my goal tracker. I might need to designate a whole page for blogging though because I have some big ideas for the Christmas season!

Next, my habits and mood trackers, both of which haven’t changed much throughout the year because I find them easy to fill out and they really work for me. I might experiment a bit next year with different types.

Annnnnd the most exciting spread of the month, my advent calendar! Last year I posted a tutorial on how to create a DIY No Candy Advent Calendar, and this one is pretty much a mini version of that. I created little pockets for each day of the month and stuck a note with an act of kindness that needs to be completed in each. I’m so excited to get started with it!

My last spread is a gratitude log/weekly spread since I ran out of space;)) I have a feeling that this month I’m going to have to do a lot of one-page weekly spreads because I want to include things like a gift list and blog planner in my journal.

That’s my last bullet journal set up post of the year! I absolutely love bullet journaling because it allows me to reflect on my life and express my creativity, not to mention plan ahead and track mood and habits and all sorts of stuff. It’s so fun to look back on all of my spreads from the past year and see what was happening or what I was feeling at the time. I’m really excited for a new journal in 2020 and to try out new things and have more fun!

As a side note, I will be posting three times a week during December…… lots of Christmasy posts are soon to be coming your way!

November Bullet Journal Set-Up with October Monthly Recap

Hi guys! I’m super excited for this month’s theme, and had sooo much fun setting it up! I’m doing poppies, and using a couple different shades of red. However, I’m going for more of a scrapbookish look, since I found an amazing paper pad with tons of poppy designs in it. Hope you like it!

Here’s my October Monthly Recap. The gold is just so pretty and compliments everything really well;))

So this is my title page for November! I hand drew a lot of poppies, but cut some out from my paper pad as well. I also used some washi tape and a ripped-paper effect for extra pizazz.

My calendar spread turned out super pretty as well;) I used paper on the corners this time, so that looks cool. I’m also loving the look of writing on white paper and cutting it out to paste it in my journal.

This really cool black and white poppy paper is a feature in my trackers section! I LOVE IT! I’m also doing something different for my mood tracker this month; I’ll be using a bar graph format. The higher the bar, the better my mood.

I decided that I did need a blog planner next to my gratitude log;) It will help me stay more organized when it comes to posting.

I only included two days in my first weekly spread, so I covered the other half of the page with more poppy paper. I’ll probably turn the page opposite this one into a quote page.

That’s all for now! I love how these spreads turned out, and I’m having lots of fun playing around with my pretty papers and washi tapes. See you later!

October Bullet Journal Set-Up with September Monthly Recap

Hi guys! I figured that it was about time to post my October bullet journal set-up, considering that it’s the last day of September;) My October theme is magic, but not Harry Potter style magic, more of a crystal ball, full moon kind of magic. I used two shades of purple, as well as metallic gold and silver gel pens for the magical sparkles that are scattered around the pages. I’m super glad with the way that this month turned out, especially because my calligraphy is on point! I also got to use a bunch of cute quotes about the future this month. Do you know how hard it is to find quotes about the ocean that are cute and not too long? Really hard! Also, drawing waves on every page last month was a little time consuming, even if it looked really pretty. Anyways, here’s my October set-up;)))

This is my monthly recap;)) I’m going to miss the blues!

This is my October title page! The focal point is the crystal ball, around which I drew some really cute magical doodles. I used a can of chickpeas to trace a perfect circle for the crystal ball- chickpeas are just awesome in every way! The gold, silver and purple work really nicely together on this page and my writing turned out great:)))

I messed up the order of the days on the calendar, so I had to black them out and rewrite them in silver. But it’s okay, it looks good that way! I decided not to include a blog planner this month, because I found I wasn’t using it. Although I did keep my goals section and write a good quote.

One thing that I haven’t changed this year is my habit tracker, and that’s because I just find it very easy to look at and use. However, I do like playing around with my mood trackers, and this month I used a crystal ball format. I’m also really into the look of drawing a border around my pages; I just think it lends something interesting to the spread.

Next, as per usual, is my gratitude log and quote page. Crystal balls are the focal point of both;) The future is bright, my friends!

Finally, here’s my first weekly spread of the month. I’ve actually never done a spread like this before, but I saw one like it on AmandaRachLee’s youtube channel, and so I thought I’d give it a try. It looks so good! And I love the amount of space that it gives me to plan my week!

That’s my set-up for October! It’s hard to believe that I only have three more months left with this journal. I’ve been loving the Leuchtturm 1917 journal because it has just the right amount of smooth, good sized pages, two book marks and a pocket in the back. Plus, it’s pretty reasonably priced. I think that I’m going to use another one of these next year as well. Have a good week you guys!

Yours Truly,

MyDayIsBooked;))))
