I’m doing my happy dance because it’s finally Friday! Woo-hoo, time for another book post! This week I thought I’d try something a little different and see how it works out- I’m calling it “Let’s Talk Literature”. How it works is I’ll post a bookish discussion prompt along with my response to it, and then invite you guys to join in the discussion. I thought this would be a great way to get in touch with all of you book-lovers out there! Miss Abigail actually inspired me to do this with her “Why I hate classical literature” post- she explained why “classics” are way to broad a genre of books. Who’s Your Favourite Literary Character and Why?

Ok! This one is super tough, but after careful deliberation I’ve decided that I actually have two favourites: Hermione Granger from Harry Potter and Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger games. I love Hermione because she’s super smart, yet she’s still really brave and isn’t afraid to fight alongside Harry and Ron. Katniss I like because she always stays true to herself and will do anything to protect the people she loves.
