February Bullet Journal Set-Up

I’m in love with February already! In this post I’ll be sharing my February Bullet Journal design and layout. Here we go!

This month I decided to go with a heart theme, you know, with it being Valentines Day and all. My colours are a blush pink, black, gold, and a bit of a deeper pink. My title page basically stayed the same as January’s; with the word February in the circle with a quote, the mini calendar, and my events and goals at the bottom. I added some additional hanging hearts for some extra love;)

Here we have my weekly spread, which I also kept mostly the same as the previous month. But I did write the day if the week on top of the date, and I found room for a “Brain Dump” section, where I can write down ideas and random thoughts throughout the week. This is my favourite spread so far because I love how pretty it looks with the pink and the little gold hearts!

Well, I hope that my February set up inspired you and got you pumped up for a whole new moth of bullet journaling! On Wednesday I’ll be posting a healthy recipe as well as the “monthly recap” section for February. See ya then!

Letโ€™s Talk Literature

I’m doing my happy dance because it’s finally Friday! Woo-hoo, time for another book post! This week I thought I’d try something a little different and see how it works out- I’m calling it “Let’s Talk Literature”. How it works is I’ll post a bookish discussion prompt along with my response to it, and then invite you guys to join in the discussion. I thought this would be a great way to get in touch with all of you book-lovers out there! Miss Abigail actually inspired me to do this with her “Why I hate classical literature” post- she explained why “classics” are way to broad a genre of books. I responded to it and thought; hey, I want to do a post like that! And here we are. Scroll down for my first prompt!

Who’s Your Favourite Literary Character and Why?

Ok! This one is super tough, but after careful deliberation I’ve decided that I actually have two favourites: Hermione Granger from Harry Potter and Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger games. I love Hermione because she’s super smart, yet she’s still really brave and isn’t afraid to fight alongside Harry and Ron. Katniss I like because she always stays true to herself and will do anything to protect the people she loves.

How about you? Who’s your favourite character? Leave lots of comments down below and have a great weekend!

My New Bullet Journal Layout

Hey guys! Sorry I couldn’t post on Monday… things got busy! Anyways, I decided to change my bullet journal layout, and I think I like it better already!

It gives me one page for my weekly spread, and then another page for all my additional trackers and my gratitude log, as well as the word and quote of the week. I think that this system will work better than my old one, because it seems less busy and more straightforward.

I’ll be posting my February set-up soon, as well as another post on Friday! See you then;)

My January/February Book List๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“š

It’s Friday peoples! And that means it’s time for a bookish post! Today I’ll be sharing my January/February book list with you guys, to give you a heads up on some of the books that I’ll be reviewing. Let’s get into it!

King’s Cage

This is the third instalment of Victoria Aveyard’s Red Queen series, and I’m currently reading it right now. So far it’s pretty good, and I like it a bit better than the first two. I’m hoping to finish it sometime in the next week so that I can keep up with my goal of reading 40 Books this year.

I Am Malala

Ive read bits and pieces of this book in the past, but I don’t think that I finished the whole thing. I’d like to read it from start to finish, as I really admire Malala and want to know more about her story.

The Last 6 Nancy Drew Books

I know that these were on my book list for December, but I still haven’t found the time to read them! I want to finish the whole set by summer, so I need to find the time to read these last 6.

The 39 Clues

I’ve had this book for a while now but never got around to reading it. It’s supposed to be a good one- so I’ll give it a shot.

That’s my January/February reading list! Hopefully I can read all of the books that I want to…. I need to finish 40 Books this year! If you have any suggestions on other books that I should read or if you’ve read a book that’s listed above, don’t forget to comment below. I’m hoping to review Kings Cage next week. Also, my next healthy recipe post will be coming soon- keep your eyeballs open.

DIY Whipped Coconut Body Butter

Welcome to my first crafty post! Well, other than my bullet journal setups. I LOVE this body butter because it moisturizes really well, plus its super easy to make and smells amazing! It’s also a great gift for your mom or grandma if you put it in a cute little jar. If you  don’t have any coconut oil at home, I seriously suggest that you go buy some! It has many uses in baking and in homemade scrubs and lotions. Anyways, here’s what you’ll need for this amazing body butter!

What you’ll need:

  • 1 cup of coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • A hand-held or stand mixer

Instructions:

  • Put the coconut oil in a bowl and beat on medium speed for about 1 minute, or until it looks smooth.
  • Add in the vanilla and mix for another minute.
  • Store in an airtight container and enjoy!

Directions for use:

Apply to skin in the shower and rinse thoroughly. If applying on face, wash with soap after to prevent oily skin.

It’s that simple! I hope that you like this body butter as much as I do and go buy some coconut oil! See you on Friday;))
