September Bullet Journal Set-Up with August Monthly Recap

Hey people;) Summer has finally come to an end, which means that it’s time to set up my September bullet journal. I set up a poll on Instagram to see which colours that you guys wanted me to use this month, and the majority chose blues. So I’m doing an ocean theme for September! I used a mix of wavy designs and seashell doodles to make a beautiful spread. Hope you guys like it!

First, here’s my August Monthly Recap. It turned out really nicely;)

This is my title page! Splitting it along the diagonal gives it a unique feel. I love how the waves look, and the seashells and jellyfish look super cute. On the opposite page I wrote a quote saying “Seas the Day”.

I think that my calendar looks great as well. The font that I used this month was kind of a curly handwriting, which is more of a playful nautical style. As usual, I have spots for writing down my goals and blog ideas on the side.

I absolutely LOVE my habit and mood trackers this month! The doodles are just so pretty! I’ll colour in each seashell according to the legend at the bottom. I didn’t number my habit tracker, but I don’t really think that I need to.

Next I have a gratitude log and a quote page. I especially like the way that the quote page looks, with the frame going through the waves.

Last but not least, the first weekly spread of the month. Now that school is starting, I’m going to be doing a lot more double-paged spreads so I have more room to write things down.

There’s my September spreads! Moving into the school year, I think that I’m going to continue to post three times a week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It’ll be a challenge to keep up, but I really enjoy creating new content for you guys.

Have a great weekend and I’ll see you on Monday!

August Bullet Journal Set-Up with July Monthly Recap

Hi guys! I can’t believe that we’re already halfway through the summer and that it’s time to set up my August Bullet Journal layout! This month I went with a travel theme (partly inspired by AmandaRachLee again). I also used a bunch of pictures from a page-a-day calendar which had the title “1000 Places to See Before You Die”, and drew little frames around them so that they look like polaroid pictures. I used three different shades of brown in this spread, so it looks kind of vintage. Hope you like it!

Here’s my July Monthly Recap before we get into August. It hasn’t changed from previous months;)

My title page is a little but minimalistic, as there isn’t a ton going on. I drew a suitcase, a compass rose, an airplane and a polaroid camera, using hues of brown. There’s also a bunch of travel pictures from that calendar, which look cool. My quote for this month is “I haven’t been everywhere but it’s on my list.” which I totally identify with because I love to travel!

This might be one of my favourite calendar spreads of all time. All of the doodles and the drop shadows just look so good! In one corner of the calendar I drew some lines to make it look like a map, and I also included my usual goals and blog ideas section.

I drew my habit tracker to look like a polaroid, which I thought was cute. For my mood tracker, there’s a circle divided into 31 parts so I can colour one each day, with a compass in the middle.

Here’s my gratitude log, and another page that I labelled “Places to Go”. I thought that it might be fun to make a kind of travel bucket list, that I can look back on later and see if I actually went to all of those places.

And finally here’s my first weekly spread. Because there’s only three days in the first calendar week, I only used one page and made the other page a quote page.

That’s all for my August Set-Up! I hope you have a great month, and I’ll see you on Wednesday;))

July Bullet Journal Set Up with June Monthly Recap

Wow! I can’t believe that we’re already halfway through the year! I’m excited though because summer is here and it’s time for a bit of a reset. Today I’ll be showing you my July Bullet Journal Set Up, as well as some other pages in my journal. My theme this month is monarch butterflies, inspired by AmandaRachLee;) It turned out really pretty, and the orange and yellow colour palette is summery and fun. In addition, I have my June Monthly Recap, and a Mid-Year Review. Let’s get into it!

My monthly recap hasn’t changed from previous months;)

Something I decided to add in this year was a Mid-Year Review page. I have a quote on the left, and in the right I’m going to do a bit of a reflection to reset and refocus for the second half of the year.

And here’s my title page for July! I absolutely love the butterflies. They’re not super hard to draw, AmandaRachLee has a great tutorial on her YouTube channel. I added some detail with my silver gel pen, and used some dots to fill up the empty space. My colours for this month are a light yellow Zebra Mildliner, and a deeper yellow and an orange Crayola SuperTips marker, so three colours. Inside the butterflies I went from light to dark, just like a monarch. There are so many beautiful quotes about butterflies that I can use this month, so I’m really excited!

My calendar is pretty much the same as in past months. I drew more butterflies, a goals section, and a space to write down blog post ideas, now that herb month is over and I don’t need a whole page for that!

My habit and mood trackers turned out nice as well. For my mood tracker, I drew a big butterfly, and I’ll colour each numbered section in according to the legend at the bottom.

Here’s my gratitude log;) I also included a Summer bucket list, because I want to write down cool things to do this summer.

To keep in shape during the summer, I drew up a workout schedule! Let’s see if I actually stick to it though😂 I also drew a quote page that is kind of my mantra for the summer; to keep a positive mindset.

Lastly, we have my first weekly spread. Im trying to keep each week on one page, so that I have more room for fun stuff like quotes and bucket lists;) This should work out because I’m not very busy in the summer.

That’s all folks! I’m looking forward to coming up with summer recipes, reading lists and bullet journal ideas to share with you over the next couple of months!

June Bullet Journal Set-Up with May Monthly Recap

Hi there! As you’ve probably already heard, June is herb month here at MyDayIsBooked.com! I’m super excited, and so for this month’s theme I went with herbs;) I used three different shades of green, as well as my silver gel pen on a black background to give a kind of chalkboard effect, which I think goes with the whole herb garden theme. It was a bit time consuming to draw out all of the herbs, but I absolutely LOVE the way that these spreads turned out!!!! Here they are;)

First of all, here’s my May monthly recap. Nothing changed here, but I just thought I’d share it with you guys;)

Annnnd here’s my title page! I’m loving the different hues of greens;) I drew cilantro, chives, dill, basil and parsley because that’s what’s growing in my herb garden. The green border around the title page adds a little something to an otherwise empty space; you’ll see that I use that through the month. And I found the perfect quote to go with my theme!

My calendar uses more white on black for the days of the week and the dates. I drew some more kinds of herbs, and included a goals section. I didn’t make space for a blog post planning section though, because there’s so much going on this month that I took up an entire page later in the month for that!!

Both my habit tracker and mood tracker are pretty simple this month, as I didn’t want them looking too crazy with all of the different herbs that I was drawing. So I drew a few herbs in the background, another green border, and called it a day.

Here’s my gratitude log. Pretty simple. I wrote a quote at the bottom that says, “be thankful for the things that help you grow” which goes with my theme.

This month I also included a study schedule, which I’ll need with finals coming up!! I wrote Keep Calm and Chive On at the bottom, which I thought was cute because I drew a bunch of chives on this page;))

Finally I have my first weekly spread! I kept it confined to one page because the opposite page is occupied by my blog planner (sorry guys, I can’t let you see any spoilers😊).

There you go! I’m so excited to jump into herb month and share some cool recipes with you guys;) In the meantime, happy planning!

Yours Truly,

MyDayIsBooked;)))

May Bullet Journal Set-Up with April Monthly Recap

Hi guys! Today I’ll be sharing my May Bullet Journal Set-Up and April Monthly recap;) I decided to go with a Mandala theme, and I’m super happy with the way that it turned out! The colours that I used are a few different shades of blue and purple, as well as some gold. Since colouring mandalas is pretty relaxing, all of the quotes in my spreads are based around zen and meditation, which I’d like to focus in this month. As I’m writing this I’m playing fetch the sock with my dog, so I’m sorry if there’s any typos;) Here’s my May bullet journal set-up!

Let’s start with my April monthly recap. Nothing really changed here, but I think it’s one of my prettier monthly recaps.

This is my title page! It took a while to draw and colour, but I think that it was worth it. Here’s a few pictures of the steps I took to complete my mandala:

I started by tracing a few circles as a guideline, and worked outwards from there. Once you get the hang of drawing these mandalas, you can skip this step.

My monthly calendar is simple but pretty;) I drew some mandalas around the May title, as well as my goal and blog planning sections.

My mood and habit trackers pretty much stayed the same as last month, but of course my mood tracker is a mood mandala, so each day I’ll colour in a section of the mandala according to the legend at the bottom of the page.

The last two pages before my first weekly spread are dedicated to my gratitude log and another quote page. I think that they both turned out well;))

And finally, my first weekly spread. I added a meditation tracker here because I forgot to in my big habit tracker.

I hope you like this month’s set-up! Let me know what you think;)

Yours Truly,
